Ile aux Cerfs

There are no stags (cerfs) remaining on Ile Aux Cerfs (Stag Island). Privately owned by Le Touessrok Sun International it is open to the public, attracting large numbers of day-trippers.

Situated on the East coast of Mauritius, the island is encircled by magnificent beaches and is accessed by boat from the small fishing village of Trou d’eau Douce.

There is a beach bar, restaurants and shops and a variety of watersports available, from parasailing to windsurfing. Water skis, pedalos, sailboards, surfcats, Laser dinghies and canoes can be hired.

Two-hour boat trips are offered to the Grande Riviere Sud-Est waterfall, also a boat tour around Ile aux Cerfs.
